WHAT YOU NEED:
- White Paper
- Black Green and Oranger Markers
WHAT TO DO:
- Take two pieces of white paper and draw a spooky ghost with a black marker on one.
- Stare at the ghost for about thirty seconds and then quickly look at the blank piece of white paper.
- See what happens.
- Now try it with an American Flag colored green, orange and black.
- You probably can guess what colors will show up after you stare at it.
- When you stare at these pictures for a long time, the picture that you see after you look at something white is called an after image.
- If the colors of the after image and the colors of the original picture are mixed together, they make a dull gray color.
- So, if you mix the color of the ghost, black, with the color of its after image, bright white, those two colors make gray.
